The short version, and the assets.
Near — Stay Close is a private mutual-presence app for iPhone and Apple Watch. Two people open a one-to-one space on an ordinary day; either can send one small, deliberate line and feel the other come near. It works for difficult moments and for jokes, memories, and small things worth sharing. A private Hold drawer keeps what a person would rather set down than send.
There are no streaks, no feeling scores, no feeds, and no one watching. Near has no server, no accounts, and no analytics: everything stays on the person's device and in their own iCloud. It is built by one developer, Apple frameworks only, and the core of the app is free — permanently. Near is deliberately designed to be put down; going quiet in a stable season is the app working, not failing.
